L. Censorinus, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 16 mm, 3.48 g, 3 h), Rome. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. L•CENSOR Marsyas standing to left, raising his right arm and holding wine-skin over his left shoulder; behind him, column surmounted by small statue of Minerva. Babelon (Marcia) 24. Crawford 363/1d. Sydenham 737. A nicely toned example with a lovely reverse. Slightly rough on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
